BREAST LIFT
Meditour Turkei
Breast tissue and the skin surrounding the breast, as if in a shell, are not a static structure. Breasts change in size and shape over time for many environmental and structural reasons. Some women’s breasts are genetically and structurally looser and more prone to sagging.
Some of the factors that can cause sagging breasts are:
2 weeks before the surgery no blood-thinning medications should be taken such as aspirin or vitamin supplements. Smoking should be avoided. Before breast lift surgery, the candidate should apply to a specialist in breast diseases (specialists in general surgery in our country) and have a routine examination regarding possible breast diseases. If any breast disease is discovered that could interfere with the surgery, this condition should be treated first.
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia, except for very limited procedures, and the surgery time varies from 1-4 hours depending on the method of the procedure. The aim of the surgery is to bring the sagging nipple to the required level, remove the excess breast skin in 3D and give the breast a more aesthetic shape. Depending on the sagging and deformity of the breast tissue, different surgical techniques are used and different incision marks are left on the breast skin depending on the method. While these scars may only be present around the nipple, in addition to this scar, vertical (lollipop, vertical), J-shaped, or inverted T-shaped scars may remain under the breast.
In a normal breast lift, the volume of the breast, i.e. the body size, is not changed, but its shape becomes more aesthetic. If, in addition to the sagging of the breast, there is a severe loss of volume, breast augmentation with a silicone implant is performed together with the breast lift, and both the sagging of the breast is eliminated and the desired size (bra size) is achieved. This type of surgery, which involves two different procedures, requires more surgical experience. The goal of breast aesthetics is to give the breast a normal and aesthetic appearance in terms of volume and shape.
